Serving Time in Custody Now Credited at $125 Per Day

It never seemed fair to us that if one was in custody for three full days, the base fine would only decrease by $30 per day, or $90. The law has recently changed to a much more generous $125 per day, credited toward the base fine. This means that three days in custody is now “worth” $375 in the base fine, or almost $1600 in total once penalties and assessments are considered as being avoided, too.
