Under SB 1437, How Do Jury Instructions Apply?

If one is potentially eligible for resentencing under Senate Bill 1437 (Penal Code § 1170.95), why would a judge be interested in knowing what the jury instructions said? The answer is because the jury instructions state how a jury must find a conviction and in the following case, the jury instructions showed defendant was not convicted under the old felony murder rule as an aider and abettor, but as an aider and abetter of the killer of another.
